ARE WE READY FOR A REBOOT?

First it was the Karate Kid, now it’s Saved by the Bell, it appears 80’s and 90’s nostalgia is spawning another round of reboots. As I was watching the #HairySlotters last night going jackpot daft in their latest pre-lockdown gaming at #Onetec Arcade, the jewel of the northeast, I thought “Is it time for a 90s gaming machine reboot?

As a 40 something, my gaming peak came in my bachelor days, going quids in with my mates whilst touring the local pubs and clubs. It’s amazing how the site of a certain machine at #Onetecs can transport me back to those times. My all time favourite has to be Andy Capp. I remember the #AndyCappGreatEscape hitting my local, The Nags Head and being instantly transfixed. From trying to get out of the house, to galloping away from Flo, the corner safety zones and plethora of features, I want Andy Capp to get the modern reboot.

But I’m torn. I was also a huge Roller Coaster fan. Something about that snaking board , the hi/lo gambles when you land in features or cash wins and the chance of Big Money at the coconut shy, I just want it to have that modern twist. I want them all back!
