Great Yarmouth Arcades: Planning a Walk Along the Seafront

Marine Parade makes a useful starting point for an arcade day in Great Yarmouth. The seafront brings amusement venues, food and other attractions together, so you can plan a few stops without making the entire day about one building.

A north-to-south route begins around Britannia Pier and Joyland. Farther along are the SEA LIFE area and Wellington Pier, with Merrivale Model Village and the Pleasure Beach towards the southern end.

You do not need to cover the whole route. Pick the arcades you most want to visit, check their opening information and choose somewhere for a break in between. If walking distance matters, plan the return journey as well.

For a particular classic fruit machine, look for a recent sighting and ask the venue before travelling. A resort guide can help you find the arcade; it cannot guarantee that a cabinet is still on the floor.

The local tourism guide below shows the wider Golden Mile attractions, which is useful when some of your group want time away from the machines.
