The Gambling Commission’s Deposit-Limit Announcement: Updated Timetable

The Gambling Commission’s October 2025 announcement set out changes to online account-limit tools. These included prompts before a first deposit and clearer access to financial limits.
A later part of the programme was originally due on 30 June 2026. The Commission subsequently extended that implementation date to 30 September 2026, as recorded in its updated consultation response.
The revised definition concerns gross deposits: money paid into the account, without subtracting withdrawals. The linked regulator guidance gives the updated requirements. This is an online account-control change, not a new stake setting for physical arcade machines.
