Only Fools and Horses has plenty to work with as a fruit-machine theme, and Bell-Fruit makes the most of it. Del Boy's yellow van, the Nag's Head and a trail full of deals and bills cover the upper glass. Even without the title, the setting would be familiar to anyone who knows the sitcom.

The example here is marked £6, with 10p play shown beside the trail. A large red die dominates the top of the board. Below it, the route winds back and forth through cloud-shaped spaces, taking in cash amounts, bills and named events.

The jokes are built into the game layout. Dodgy Deal has its own little section on the left, while Angel Face and Bill spaces appear along the route. The van is parked beside Start at the bottom, as though Del and Rodney are about to set off on another doubtful business venture.

The lower glass uses silhouettes of the brothers and more pictures of the van around the three reels. The payout table is clearly displayed on the right, with the top combination marked £6. A short nudge ladder runs underneath the reel window.

Separate Hi and Lo labels sit on two of the Hold buttons, and the front panel also includes Collect and Start/Gamble. It is a proper reel-and-feature machine, with the sitcom providing the characters and setting for the action above.

The appeal is the way everyday details from the programme become part of the board. A pub, an unpaid bill and an unreliable-looking deal are exactly the sort of ingredients that belong in Del Boy's world.
